The Earth map to end all Earth maps. By Cannonman Cartography
We spent an entire year, thousands of dollars, and brought together a dozen artists to answer one question: What does an uncompromising, no-expense-spared, and hand-crafted Earth map look like in vanilla Minecraft? Using tens of thousands of accurate tree schematics, we hand-painted all 867 unique biomes of our beautiful Earth to find out:

Until now, Minecraft Earth maps have suffered from a fatal flaw: they were machine-generated. When terrain is left entirely to AI, algorithms or procedural generation, you’ll get spiky mountains, glitched water, and unoptimized files that cause server lag. Slapping custom trees onto a generated landscape isn’t enough, we needed a human element to solve these issues.
We had to bring soul into Earth maps.
While we used a heavily customized version of Earth Tiles for accurate height maps and the custom projection, the rest is pure human craftsmanship. We leveraged a deep understanding of geography, botany, ecology, and biology to capture the authentic essence of every biome on Earth, enhanced with deep oceans, wide rivers, beautiful mountains, amazing caves, accurate trees, and glitch-free terrain.
The result is a highly optimized map designed for large commercial multiplayer networks to massively boost player retention. No expense was spared in making this the most satisfying, lightest weight, lag-free and beautiful Earth map ever made. Yes, the Earth map with the most content is also the lightest weight Earth map ever made.

Our 1:1500 scale map serves as our direct investment into the community, and we’ve been incredibly impressed by how it is already being used in educational settings. Larger scales are intended for commercial multiplayer networks to boost player retention and increase donations.
